Tooth-colored composite resin is built up directly on the tooth
to naturally improve small chips, gaps and uneven shape.
Esthetic resin is a treatment that builds up composite resin matching
the color of natural teeth directly on the tooth to restore the shape and
color of damaged or missing areas.
Small gaps between front teeth, minor chips and uneven
tooth shape can be improved so they blend naturally
with the neighboring teeth.

Only the area that needs treatment is prepared and composite resin is built up directly,
preserving as much healthy natural tooth structure as possible.

We carefully consider the color, translucency and texture of the neighboring teeth
to create a shape that blends in naturally.

With no separate lab fabrication, the shape is completed directly in the mouth,
so treatment can proceed in a relatively streamlined way.

If some wear, chipping or discoloration appears over time,
the affected area can be polished or repaired depending on the condition of the tooth.
Both treatments improve the color and shape of the teeth
while preserving natural tooth structure,
but they differ in the material used,
the treatment method and the scope of improvement they suit.

Only the necessary area is prepared minimally, then composite resin is built up directly to complete the shape.
If there is decay or an existing restoration, that area may need to be removed first.
Because there is no separate lab fabrication step, the treatment is relatively streamlined.
However, treatment time and the number of visits can vary with the number of teeth and the scope of treatment.
Composite resin can stain or lose its luster from coffee, tea, smoking and similar factors.
Regular checkups and polishing when needed help keep it in good condition.
Small chips or wear can often be repaired partially, depending on the condition.
If the damage is extensive or it keeps chipping, we check your bite and may consider another treatment method.
Resin fillings are KRW 100,000 for a simple filling, KRW 150,000 for a front tooth and KRW 70,000 for a cervical (gum line) filling (prices as of Aug 17, 2026, confirmed by the clinic director).
Resin for adults is not covered by National Health Insurance, so fees vary by clinic. Light-cured resin for cavities in the permanent teeth of children aged 12 and under is covered (source: Ministry of Health and Welfare).
Small gaps between front teeth or minor chips can often be resolved with resin without grinding the tooth, while veneers are considered when the color and shape of several front teeth need to change at once.
From the standpoint of preserving natural teeth, it makes sense to start with the option that removes the least tooth structure.
Temporary sensitivity to cold after a deep cavity is restored is common and usually fades over several weeks to about a month.
If it keeps improving you can wait and watch, but if the tooth hurts on its own or gets worse over time, come back for a bite adjustment or re-evaluation.
