FULL ARCH IMPLANT

Full-Arch Implants

Rather than simply replacing a number of teeth,
we redesign the whole mouth so you can chew comfortably.

What are full-arch implants?

We go beyond restoring a number of teeth
and redesign your overall chewing function.

Full-arch implant treatment is for patients who have lost most of their teeth
or whose remaining teeth cannot be saved.

Implants are placed where needed and connected
with a prosthesis to restore overall
chewing function and tooth form.

Rather than placing an implant in every tooth position,
we consider the jawbone and bite
to plan the positions and number
needed,
so the full prosthesis is supported securely.

When full-arch implants may be needed

Full-arch implants can be considered in the following cases.
We do not decide by the number of remaining teeth alone, but
also assess whether each tooth can be saved, along with the jawbone and bite.

All or nearly all teeth
have been lost

Current dentures are uncomfortable
and you no longer want to wear them

Most teeth must be extracted
because of injury or disease

Dentures vs. full-arch implants:
the difference

Compare dentures that rest on the gums
with a full prosthesis fixed on implants.

Full-Arch Implant Treatment Process

From detailed diagnosis to implant placement, temporary teeth
and the final prosthesis,
treatment proceeds step by step
according to the condition of your mouth.

Detailed Diagnosis and Oral Assessment

A 3D CT scan and oral examination give a complete picture of the remaining teeth,
jawbone width and height, and the bite relationship.

Individual Treatment Plan

Based on the findings, we plan the number and position of implants,
whether bone grafting is needed, and the type of prosthesis.

STEP 03.

Extraction and Removal of Infected Tissue

Teeth that cannot be saved and inflamed tissue are removed, and where needed
a bone graft is performed to prepare the site for implant placement.

Implant Placement

Implants are placed in the planned positions and angles,
and initial stability in the jawbone is confirmed.

Temporary Teeth and Healing

If the mouth and implant stability allow, temporary teeth are connected,
and the bite and function are checked during the healing period.

Final Prosthesis

Once the implants have bonded securely to the jawbone,
a custom final prosthesis is made and the function and bite are adjusted.

Full-Arch Implants Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions patients ask most often
before visiting Seoul Standard Dental Clinic.

Do all remaining teeth have to be extracted for full-arch implants?

Not necessarily. We examine the bone support, mobility,
decay and fractures of each remaining tooth to separate the teeth that can be saved from those that need treatment, and then build the overall treatment plan.

How many implants are placed for full-arch treatment?

An implant is not placed in every tooth position.
We consider the jawbone in the upper and lower jaws, the bite and the design of the prosthesis, then place the number of implants needed and connect them with a full prosthesis.

What is the difference between dentures and full-arch implants?

A conventional denture is a removable prosthesis that rests on the gums, while fixed full-arch implants attach the prosthesis to implants placed in the jawbone.
There is less movement, and chewing force is transmitted more reliably.

Can I have temporary teeth on the day of surgery?

If the implants have sufficient initial stability and the jawbone and general health are suitable, temporary teeth can be connected on the day of surgery or shortly after.
If stability is insufficient, the prosthesis is fitted after a healing period.

How long does full-arch implant treatment take?

Including extractions, placement, the osseointegration period in which the implants bond to bone, and fabrication of the prosthesis, treatment usually takes from a few months to around a year.
Bone grafting or a sinus lift adds healing time, and because upper jaw bone is often softer, the waiting period there tends to be longer.

How is the cost of full-arch implants calculated?

The cost is the number of implants multiplied by the per-tooth price.
At Seoul Standard Dental Clinic, implants are KRW 690,000 per tooth for Megagen ST, KRW 890,000 for Osstem BA and KRW 1,090,000 for Osstem SOI; bone grafts and sinus lifts are charged separately (prices as of 2026-08-17, confirmed by the director).
An estimate is provided after a 3D CT diagnosis confirms the number of implants and any additional procedures.

What is the implant warranty?

Our after-care warranty covers 100% within the first year and 50% from 1 to 3 years.
The warranty applies when the patient attends regular checkups every 6 months; depending on the case, checkups may need to be more frequent (confirmed by the director, August 2026).
